電車に揺られて出来上がった12曲

## セルフライナーノーツ

普段作曲のほとんどがノートPCで完結するので、旅行先や途中で作業することが結構あります。
その中でも特に多いのが移動中です。
移動中にふと目に入ってくる見慣れない風景は、創作活動にもってこいだと思っています。
そんな中出来上がった曲をまとめました。
曲名は国内の電車や路線を元にしています。
楽曲全てをFL Studioで制作していますが、リズム以外はほぼFL付属のプラグインを使っています。
その中でも古い曲は3xOSCをメインに、新しい曲はSytrusをメインに使用しています。

### 1.Morning
曲名の元ネタ: モーニングライナー、モーニングウェイ等朝の通勤特急

この曲は出来上がる前から、明るい屋外のイメージが湧いてきた曲です。
明るいけど、底抜けの明るさではなく少し不安げな展開がどこか1日のスタートっぽいイメージで、通勤中に使うような名前の電車をモチーフとしました。

FLのSytrusを使い始めた頃の曲ですがまだ使い方が慣れておらず、
さほど複雑な音色に聞こえませんがプロジェクトがやたら重くなってしまっていました。

### 2.Lilac
曲名の元ネタ: 特急ライラック

ちょっと甘めのメロディーが思いついて、その勢いで作り切った一曲です。
メロディーでどこか草花っぽいイメージが浮かんだので、名前と車両の色がぴったりなこの電車をモチーフとしました。

まだ音源の殆どでFLの3xOSCを使っていた頃の曲です。

### 3.Sky Access
曲名の元ネタ: スカイアクセス線

旅行中に思いついて空港から帰りの電車で大体仕上げた曲です。丁度乗っていた路線の名前をつけました。
空を見上げるようなさわやかで明るいイメージです。
この曲も音源のほとんどが3xOSCです。

### 4.Sea Roar
曲名の元ネタ: 特急しおさい

ペットロスで寂しい時に海辺で思いついた曲です。向かう途中で乗っていた電車の名前をつけました。
ゆっくりと潮が満ちて周りを飲み込んでいくようなイメージで作りました。
この曲あたりからFLのSytrusで思い通りの音を作れるようになってきました。

### 5.Thunderbird
曲名の元ネタ: 特急雷鳥、特急サンダーバード

この曲は名前が全然思いつかなくて困った曲です。
個人的なイメージの湧かなさから、巨鳥のUMAの意味でも使われるらしいこの名前をつけました。
音源のメインは3xOSCです。

### 6.Twilight
曲名の元ネタ: 寝台特急トワイライトエクスプレス

音作りの段階で黄昏時のイメージが湧いてきた曲です。
メインのアルペジオで、都会の街に太陽が降りてきて来ているようなイメージで作りました。
曲名も名前がぴったりで大阪と札幌をかつて結んでいたこの特急の名前をつけることにしました。

これもSytrusで音源を試行錯誤していた頃の曲です。

### 7.SevenStar
曲名の元ネタ: 寝台特急北斗星

次のCassiopeiaと対になる曲で、夜を駆け抜ける寝台特急のイメージで作った曲です。
なので曲名に使った特急がいずれも同じ区間を走るように揃えてあります。

IDMっぽい作風を目指した曲で、Sytrusで狙った通りの音作りが出来た一曲です。

### 8.Cassiopeia
曲名の元ネタ: 寝台特急カシオペア

SevenStarより先に完成したもので、制作順では3xOSC音源メインで最後の曲となりました。
AmenやThinkのドラムループに頼らずに速い曲を作る、という縛りで出来た一曲です。

### 9. Sunrise
曲名の元ネタ: サンライズ瀬戸・出雲

このアルバムの中で唯一、全体のテーマが決まってから作った曲です。
曲を並べてみてから、夜明けのイメージがほしいなと思って作成しました。
曲名も夜明けにぴったりなサンライズ瀬戸・出雲をつけました。
途中で少しドラムが入りますが、ノービートなものを目指して作った曲です。

### 10. Snow Rabbit
曲名の元ネタ: スノーラビット

自分が作る曲の中では珍しく4つ打ち主体の曲です。
4つ打ちでBPM100くらいで909のOpenHiHatが鳴りつづけるところにどことなく雪っぽいイメージが浮かんだので、豪雪地帯で走るこの特急名をつけました。
3xOSCメインの古めな曲です。

# Liner Notes
Since most of my composing is usually completed on my laptop, I do a lot of work while traveling or en route.
One of the most common places I do this is while going somewhare.
The unfamiliar scenery that I suddenly see while going somewhare is perfect for my creative work.
Here are some of the tracks I've composed.
The track titles are based on Japanese domestic trains and train lines.
All of the tracks were created in FL Studio, and except for the rhythms, I used almost all of the plug-ins that came with FL.
I mainly use 3xOSC for older tracks, and Sytrus for newer tracks.

### 1.Morning
Source of the track title: Morning Liner, Morning Way, etc. Morning Commuter Express

Even before this track was completed, I had a bright outdoor image in mind.
The motif is a train with a name that would be used for commuting.
This track was composed when I first started using FL's Sytrus, but I was still not used to using it.
It doesn't sound too complicated, but the project was a bit heavy.

### 2.Lilac
Source of the track title: Express Lilac

This is a track that I came up with a sweet melody and made it up on the spur of the moment.
The melody gave me an image of a flowery plant, so I decided to use this train as a motif, since the name and the color of the train car are perfect.
This track was composed when I was still using FL's 3xOSC for most of the sound sources.

### 3.Sky Access
Source of the track title: Sky Access Line

I came up with this track during a trip and finished it on the train from the airport to my home. I named it after the train line I was just on.
It's a refreshing and bright image, like looking up at the sky.
Most of the sound source for this track is also 3xOSC.

### 4.Sea Roar
Source of the track title: Express Shiosai(Sea Roar)

I came up with this track on the seaside when I was lonely because of pet loss. I named it after the train I was riding on my way to the seaside.
I made it with the image of the tide slowly rising and swallowing up the surroundings.
I started to be able to create the sound I wanted with Sytrus in FL around this track.

### 5.Thunderbird
Source of the track title: Thunderbird Express, Thunderbird Express
This is a track that I had trouble coming up with a name for.
Due to my personal inability to come up with an image, I gave it this name, which is also used to mean UMA, a giant bird.
The main sound source is 3xOSC.

### 6.Twilight
Source of the track title: Twilight Express

This is a track that gave me the image of twilight during the sound creation stage.
With the main arpeggio, I created the image of the sun coming down on a city.
I decided to name it after this express train that used to connect Osaka and Sapporo.
This is another track from the time when I was experimenting with sound sources at Sytrus.

### 7.SevenStars
Source of the track title: Hokutosei(The Big Dipper)

This track is a counterpart to the next track, "Cassiopeia", and was composed with the image of a sleeper express running through the night, so the expresses used in the track title are all aligned so that they run along the same route.
This is a track that I aimed to make in an IDM style, and I was able to create the sound I wanted with Sytrus.

### 8.Cassiopeia
Source of the track title: Cassiopeia

This was completed before SevenStar, and was the last track in the 3xOSC production order.
This is the last track in the 3xOSC mainstream in terms of production order. This track was made with the idea of making a fast track without relying on Amen or Think drum loops.

### 9. Sunrise
Source of the track title: Sunrise Seto & Izumo

This is the only track on this album that I composed after the overall theme was decided.
After laying out the tracks, I thought I wanted an image of dawn, so I created this track.
I also named it "Sunrise Seto & Izumo" as a song suitable for dawn.
There is a little bit of drumming in the middle of the track, but I tried to make it a no-beat track.

### 10. Snow Rabbit
Source of the track title: Snow Rabbit

This is a rare track that I make that is mainly 4 beats.
It's 100 BPM, and the 909 OpenHiHat keeps playing, which reminds me of snow, so I named it "Snow Rabbit".
It's an old track, mainly 3xOSC.
